Spot rupee weakened by three paise to close at 48.7500/7550 per dollar today as public sector banks (PSBs) continued their greenback accumulation spree.
Forward premiums continued to dip as call rates eased further and government paper yields fell across maturities.
The Indian currency opened at 48.7300/7350. It declined gradually during the day.
