Sanjiv Misra appointed non-executive Chairman of Axis Bank

Sanjiv Misra, former Secretary, Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance has been appointed as the non-executive Chairman of Axis Bank.

He has taken charge with immediate effect, the bank said in an announcement on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Adarsh Kishore, the former Chairman, has tendered his resignation with effect from March 7, following the expiry of his term. He has also ceased to be director of the bank, the announcement said.
