Deteriorating Condition of National Highways

The National Highways passing through North-Eastern States including Assam, are being maintained in traffic worthy condition subject to the availability of fund and inter-se priority. In this connection funds aggregating to Rs. 286.66 crore have been allocated for the maintenance of NHs in the region, during financial year 2014-15.

This information was given by Minister of State for Ministry of Road Transport and Highways Shri Pon Radhakrishnan in a written reply in Lok Sabha today.
