E-Biz Portal Launched for Providing Single Online Platform to Companies

The Government has launched E-Biz portal for providing single online platform to help companies get over five dozen approvals to start project through a single online platform as part of its attempt to make it easier to do business. 27 services of Central Government and 24 services of the State Government to be integrated with the portal.

The covered services include Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), and Reserve Bank of India services. Clearance from Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) is not included at this stage. The e-biz project is being operated as a Public Private Partnership covering 5 plot states namely Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu at the first stage, States of Rajasthan, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Odisha are also included as pilot States subsequently.

This information was given by the Minister of State for Finance, Shri Jayant Sinha in written reply to a question in Lok Sabha today.
