Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Shri Rajiv Pratap Rudy has said that the Government regularly reviews utilization of Vocational Industrial Training Institutes. A number of courses like Electrician, Fitter, Welder, Mechanic Diesel Engine, Mechanic, Mechanic Motor Vehicle etc offered by it is are in good demand. Moreover, the Government has constituted Institute Management Committees in most of the ITIs in partnership with industries so as to make training demand responsive.
In a written reply in the Lok Sabha today he said, to encourage and create public awareness, the Government has been taking various activities like organizing Skill competitions on national platform with wide publicity, State govts also organize job fairs to popularize the ITI courses among youth and inviting industries for placement of pass out candidates.
