At least 36 Islamic State (IS) militants were killed by the Massive Ordnance Air Blast Bomb, or MOAB, which the US dropped on a tunnel complex of the terrorist group in Afghanistan on Thursday, Afghan officials said on Friday.
They ruled out any civilian casualties.
"As a result of the bombing, key Daesh (IS) hideouts and deep tunnel complex were destroyed and 36 IS fighters were killed," the defence ministry stated about Thursday's strike in eastern Afghanistan.
