Diversified business group GMR has tied up with Canada-based York University for launching the latter's Schulich School of Business MBA programme.
The institute is located in the Aerotropolis (Hyderabad Airport City) here being developed by the GMR Group.
According to the agreement, Schulich will develop the learning environment and academic infra, while the GMR Group provides the requisite infrastructure.

Schulich is among the first major foreign institutions to have a significant presence in India under the current All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) norms. Its MBA programme is ranked No 1 in the world by Corporate Knights, the world's largest circulation magazine which focuses on corporate social responsibility.
Schulich had previously offered its MBA programme in India in partnership with SP Jain Institute of Management and Research in Mumbai in 2010.
Speaking on the launch, GMR Group chairman GM Rao said the institute was part of its plans to establish an education port in the envisioned Aerotropolis for the city.
Announcing the Group's plans, he said: "We believe in future all commercial functions of a modern metropolitan centre will be located near the airport and had the potential to transform from being city airport to the airport city."
The GMR Group operates its School of Business working under the GMR Varalakshmi Foundation.
