Aluminium up by 0.3%

Increased domestic demand mainly influenced aluminium prices

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Aluminium prices edged up by 0.33% to Rs 105.75 per kg in futures trade today as participants enlarged their positions even as metals declined overseas on signs of slowing demand from China.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in July inched up by 35 paise, or 0.33%, to Rs 105.75 per kg in business turnover of 274 lots.

Likewise, the metal for delivery in August traded higher marginally by 25 paise, or 0.23%, to Rs 107.35 per kg in 11 lots.

Marketmen said increased domestic demand mainly influenced aluminium prices at futures trade here but weakness in base metals overseas on speculation of slowing demand from China, capped the gains.
