Aptech has surged 15% to Rs 76.60, also its 52-week high on the BSE, on back of heavy volumes. The trading volumes on the counter jumped more than five-fold with a combined 4.48 million equity shares representing 11.23% of total equity of Aptech changed hands in first 45 minutes of trading on the NSE and BSE.
On January 4, 2016 Rekha Jhunjhunwala acquired 1.49 million or 3.73% stake of Aptech from Aptech Investments at Rs 67.50 per share. The acquisition has done through off market transaction as restructuring of holding of the target company inter-se transfer between the promoters.
Aptech Investments is a partnership firm, whose shareholding in Aptech is held on its behalf by one of the partners’ viz. Rare Equity Private Limited, Aptech said in a BSE filing on January 6, 2016.
The promoters including Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, Rekha Jhunjhunwala and Rare Equity Private Limited hold 47.14% stake in Aptech, which engaged in information technology (IT) training services business.
At 09:58 a.m. the stock was up 13% to Rs 75.40 on the BSE as compared to 0.50% rise in the S&P BSE Sensex.
