Asian markets rally; Hang Seng surges 6%

Asian markets have rallied smartly this morning.

The Hang Seng has surged 836 points to 14,682. The Nikkei has rallied 203 points to 8,121.

The Taiwan Weighted index has gained 173 points at 4,398. The Straits Times index has advanced 32 points to 1,672, and the Seoul Composite index has added 44 points to 1,073.

The Shanghai Composite index has moved up 46 points to 2,064.
