BF Utilities has rallied 7% to Rs 616 on the BSE in early morning trade after the company reported nearly doubled standalone net profit at Rs 8.11 crore for the fourth quarter ended September 2015, due to one-time gain of Rs 4.04 crore on sale of investments. The electric utilities company had profit of Rs 4.26 crore in the same quarter year ago.
Net sales of the company during the quarter remain flat at Rs 9.89 crore against Rs 9.59 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal.
On consolidated basis, the company posted net profit after minority interest of Rs 61.46 crore for the year ended September 2015 against a loss of Rs 52.07 crore in the previous year. Net sales rose 118% at Rs 519 crore on year on year basis.
The stock hit an intra-day high of Rs 618 on the BSE and has seen a combined 1.01 million shares changed hands on the counter on the BSE and NSE till 09:48 AM.
