Cardamom declines 0.7% on profit-booking

Prices dropped as speculators booked profits, driven by weak spot market demand

Cardamom futures for March declined by Rs 6.10, or, 0.70%, to Rs 863.50 per kg in 332 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the April contract shed Rs 6, or 0.66%, to Rs 903.20 per kg in 585 lots.

Prices dropped as speculators booked profits, driven by weak spot market demand.

Further, increased arrivals from producing belts also put pressure on cardamom futures.
