Cardamom up 0.3% on strong demand

Spice for delivery in October edged up 0.08%

Supported by strong demand in the spot market and restricted arrivals from producing regions, cardamom prices rose further by Rs 2.40 to Rs 751 per kg in futures trade today.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in November added Rs 2.40, or 0.32%, to Rs 751 per kg in business turnover of 388 lots.

Similarly, the spice for delivery in October edged up 60 paise, or 0.08%, to Rs 706.50 per kg in 546 lots.

Market analysts said besides strong demand in the spot market, limited arrivals from producing regions mainly influenced cardamom for the third day at futures trade.
