Continuing its rising streak for the fourth straight day, cardamom prices advanced 0.28% to Rs 836.20 per kg in futures trade today as speculators widened bets, taking positive cues from the spot market on rising demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in October rose Rs 2.50, or 0.28%, to Rs 836.20 per kg in a business turnover of 34 lots.
Likewise, the spice for delivery in November contracts edged up 40 paise, or 0.05%, to Rs 849.90 per kg in 3 lots.
Market analysts said besides rising demand in the spot market, limited arrivals from producing region mainly kept cardamom prices higher at futures trade.
