Press Trust of India New Delhi
Chana prices extended losses for the second straight day today by losing Rs 3 to trade at Rs 3,344 per quintal in futures market on higher supplies from producing belts against sluggish demand in the spot market.

At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, April chana shed Rs 3, or 0.09% to Rs 3,344 per quintal with an open interest of 72010 lots.

The May contract traded lower by Rs 2, or 0.06% to Rs 3,448 per quintal in 31,210 lots.

Market analysts said higher supplies from producing belts against sluggish demand in the spot market mainly kept pressure on chana prices at futures trade.
