Commodity picks: 11 July 2016

MUSTARD SEED

Mustard seed in Jaipur spot market is trading at Rs 4,875 a quintal. Sharp rise in mustard seed prices has turned the crush margins negative, thus slowing demand from processors in the near term. We expect the crush disparity to ease and mustard seed prices to head towards Rs 4,800 per quintal correct in the near term.

CHILLI

Chilli is currently trading at Rs 12,544 a quintal in the Guntur market. Demand from North India is expected to improve in coming days and support prices. Prices are expected to trade higher towards Rs 12,700 a quintal.
