Cottonseed oilcake prices improved by Rs 35 to Rs 1,306 per quintal in futures trade today on increased buying, guided by higher domestic markets sentiment.
Marketmen said fall in supply and pick-up in spot market demand mainly influenced trading sentiments here in cottonseed oilcake prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, the February delivery moved up by Rs 35, or 2.75%, to Rs 1,306 per quintal, with an open interest of 89,430 lots.
The March cottonseed edged up by Rs 38, or 2.93% to Rs 1,335 per quintal, with an open interest of 78,060 lots.
Likewise, cottonseed prices for delivery in May gained Rs 40, or 2.96%, to Rs 1,393 per quintal, with an open interest of 1,900 lots.
