Dish TV India jumped 14.13 per cent to close at Rs 17.77 on Tuesday on the back of a record subscriber addition in its direct-to-home (DTH) service in October this year. Dish TV added 4,31,253 subscribers to its kitty in the previous month, which, it claims, is the highest ever monthly subscriber addition by any Indian DTH service provider.
The company has a market share of over 53 per cent of the country’s total DTH subscriber base of 8 million. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs 18.40 and a low of Rs 15, with trading volumes of 1,369,880 shares (twice its two-week average). The stock has gained 51 per cent from its recent low of Rs 11.75 on October 27.
