Dr. Reddy's Laboratories was up almost 2% at RS 2714.90 on the Bombay Stock Exchange after hitting its record high of Rs 2715 in the day's trade. In the meanwhile, BSE Healthcare index which tracks top pharmaceutical and healthcare stocks was up 0.2%.
The stock touched a high of Rs 2715 and a low of Rs 2650 on the BSE on Thursday. A total 2,88,861 shared exchanged hands on both BSE and NSE against 10-day average of 3,48,856.
In the meanwhile, markets continued to trade lower dragged down by ICICI bank, ITC, Infosys among other heavyweights. Among sectors, banking stocks remained under heavy selling pressure with BSE Bankex index shedding 1.3% today. After opening lower, key benchmarks stock indices traded in narrow range while broader markets edged higher.
