Gold down 0.3% on weak global cues

Gold futures prices today moved down by 0.33% to Rs 29,690 per 10 grams in line with weak global cues.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the June contract of the metal fell by Rs 99, or 0.33%, to Rs 29,690 per 10 gram in business turnover of 170 lots.
The April contract declined Rs 43, or 0.14%, to Rs 30,162 per 10 gram in 2,157 lots.
Analysts said a weak trend in overseas markets, as investors awaited the end of the US Federal Reserve's two-day policy meeting and assessed the situation in Ukraine, weighed on gold futures here.
Globally, gold fell to two a one-week low of USD 1,356.62 an ounce in Singaproe.
