Gold futures prices fell by Rs 27 to Rs 19,792 per 10 gram today, as speculators reduced their holdings on the back of weakening global trend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange platform, gold for April month fell by Rs 27, or 0.14 per cent to Rs 19,792 per 10 gram, with a trade volume of just one lot.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in December weakened by Rs 16, or 0.08 per cent, to Rs 19,425 per 10 gram, with a business turnover of three lots.

Marketmen said positions reduced by speculators amid weakening global trend, mainly led to decline in gold futures prices.

Meanwhile, gold fell by $15.30 to $1,325 an ounce in New York last evening.
