Gold Gains At Home

Bullion in domestic markets closed well short of its all time high depsite gold internationally inching towards its new six year highs. Standard gold closed at Rs 5,865 while the TT bar closed at Rs 68,800. Silever of 0.999 purity closed at Rs 8,210 per kilogram.
The threat of war in Iraq nudged gold higher in Asia on Monday. Gold, which is usually a telling indicator of the strife in geopolitical areas and economic uncertainty, was fetching $371.50/372.25 at 0530 GMT, up from $368.10/85 quoted late in New York on Friday.
In Europe, opened at $369.75/370.50 an ounce at 0700 GMT, up from $368.10/368.85 at Friday
