Increase IPF threshold limit to Rs 2 crore: FMC to exchanges
The move aims to benefit clients of defaulting member to a greater degree

Forward Markets Commission has directed commodity exchanged to increase the ceiling on threshold limit for claims on Investor Protection Fund (IPF), which provides that the compensation paid in respect of claims against each defaulter member to Rs 2 crore from Rs 25 lakh previously.
The notification said that this has been done to benefit the clients of the defaulting member to a greater degree.
