Jeera futures for March rose by Rs 135, or 1.03%, to Rs 13,250 per quintal in 1,161 lots.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), the April contract traded higher by Rs 102.50, or 0.78% to Rs 13,307.50 per quintal in 11,928 lots.
Prices went up as speculators created fresh positions amid improvement in spot market demand.
Expectations of higher output this season restricted the gains.
