Lead down 0.7% on global trend, subdued domestic demand

Tracking a weak trend overseas and sluggish domestic demand, lead fell 0.75% to Rs 125.40 per kg in futures trade today after participants reduced their exposures.
At the Multi Commodity exchange, lead for delivery in June shed 95 paise, or 0.75%, to Rs 125.40 per kg in business turnover of 325 lots.
Market analysts said besides subdued demand from battery-makers in the domestic spot market, a weak trend in metal at the London Metal Exchange, weighed on lead futures prices here.
