Lead gains 0.7% on spot demand
Global cues pushed the metal higheron the MCX

Supported by rising demand in the spot markets amid strong global cues, lead futures prices today edged up 0.69% to Rs 109.60 per kg.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in August traded 75 paise, or 0.69%, higher at Rs 109.60 per kg, with a turnover of 2,292 lots.
The metal for delivery in September also rose by 55 paise, or 0.5%, Rs 109.85 per kg, with a turnover of 928 lots.
The London Metal Exchange remained closed today for public holiday. Marketmen said creation of fresh positions by speculators, supported by a firming trend overseas on speculation that policy makers from the US to China,
