Markets continue to trade firm

The markets have held on to their gains in the past one hour. The Sensex is quoting at 17,239, up 108 points, and the Nifty is at 5,122, up 32 points.

BPCL has topped the list of gainers on the NSE, up 6.1% at Rs 573. Ambuja and Gail have advanced 2.5% to Rs 92.5 and Rs 413 respectively. Axis Bank, ITC and Maruti have added between 1-2% each.

Among the NSE losers, DLF has shed 2% to Rs 365, Suzlon has weakened by 1.1% at Rs 70 and Cairn has given up 1% at Rs 280
