Markets open lower, weak rupee weighs

Markets opened lower in early trades weighed down by a weakening rupee

Benchmark shares indices opened lower in early trades on Monday, amid a weakening rupee, with financials leading the decline.

The Rupee breached the 63 mark for the first time sinve September 30 in early trades today and was trading at Rs 63

At 9:16AM, the 30-share Sensex was down 126 points at 20,540 and the 50-share Nifty was down 39 points at 6,101.
