Mentha oil up 0.1% on spot and export demand

Amid pick up in domestic and export demand, mentha oil prices rose 0.17% to Rs 842 per kg in futures trade today.
Further, tight stocks position in the physical market following less arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh further supported the uptrend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in January gained Rs 1.40, or 0.17%, to Rs 842 per kg in business turnover of 31 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in December edged up by Rs 1.10, or 0.13%, to Rs 829.50 per kg in 126 lots.
Analysts said besides pick up in domestic as well as export demand in the spot market, restricted arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh mainly influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade.
Further, tight stocks position in the physical market following less arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh further supported the uptrend.
