Mentha oil up 0.8% on firm spot demand

Mentha oil futures for April gained Rs 8.70, or 0.76%, to Rs 1,150 per kg in 154 lots.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the March contract edged up by Rs 8.50, or 0.74%, to Rs 1,142 per kg in 356 lots.
Prices went up as speculators created positions largely on the back of strong demand from the pharmaceutical industries.
Expectation of lower arrivals in the spot markets from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh influenced the trade.
