Mentha oil up 1.6% on export demand

Mentha oil prices for delivery in July higher by 1.55%

Mentha oil futures prices today rose by 1.62% to Rs 987 per kg as speculators enlarged their positions amid a firm trend at spot market on export demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil prices for delivery in August rose by Rs 15.80, or 1.62%, to Rs 987 per kg, with a trading volume of 149 lots.

Similarly, the oil prices for delivery in July higher by Rs 14.90, or 1.55%, to Rs 973.40 per kg, with a business turnover of 924 lots.

Traders said a firming trend at the spot markets on exports demand, amid restricted supplies from producing regions, mainly influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade here.
