Oilseeds R & D Institute Blames Lower Crop On Short Area

Another trade body predicted that the rabi oilseeds production during 2002-03 season would decline by 18.33 lakh tonnes at 61.40 lakh tonnes compared to 79.73 lakh tonnes in the previous year.

This estimates by VMA Oilseeds Research and Development Institute (VORDI) said estimated area coverage in the present rabi season declined to 73.77 lakh hectares from 88.09 lakh hectares in 2001-02.
