Palmolein and crude palm oil prices rose up to Rs 20 per quintal on the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on fresh buying support by vanaspati millers, to encash on the ongoing marriage season demand amid firm trends in global markets.
Elsewhere, other edible and non-edible oil prices moved in a narrow range on alternate bouts of trading and settled around previous levels.
Meanwhile, palm oil futures for March-delivery gained 1.7 per cent to $1,131 a metric tonne on the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange.
In the national capital, palmolein (rbd) oils rose by Rs 20 to Rs 5,920, while crude palm oil (ex-kandla) gained Rs 10 to Rs 5,320 per quintal.
