Peas up on local demand

Peas prices rose by Rs 25 per quintal in the wholesale pulses market today on pick-up in local demand.

In the national capital, peas white and green prices gained Rs 25 each to Rs 2,350-2,450 and Rs 2,475-2,675 per quintal, respectively.

Market analysts said pick-up in local demand supported by ongoing festival helped peas prices to move up. 

Following are today's quotations per quintal: 

Urad 3,800-4,200, Urad chilka (local) 4,580-4,980, best 5,200-5,700, Dhoya 5,050-5,150, Moong 3,950-4,950, Dal moong chilka local 4,970-5,370, Moong Dhoya local 5,300-5,500 and best quality 5,900-6,100

Masoor small 2,600-2,900, bold 2,750-3,000, Dal Masoor local 3,350-3,450, best quality 3,550-3,850, Malka local 3,300-3,350, best 3,450-3,550, Moth 2,200-2,600, Arhar 3,100-3,600, dal arhar dara 4,650-5,050

 

Gram 3,025-3,050, gram dal (local) 3,450-3,550, best quality 3,675-3,775, besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,460, Rajdhani 1,460, Rajmah chitra Pune 4,300-4,600, China 4,200-4,400, red 4,300-4,500
