Black pepper and jeera prices fell up to Rs 300 per quintal today owing to weak local and export demand at existing higher prices.
Black pepper fell by Rs 300 to settle at Rs 23,300-23,400 per quintal.
Jeera common and jeera best quality prices declined to Rs 13,400-13,600 and Rs 14,800-15,300, respectively, against previous closing of Rs 13,600-13,800 and Rs 15,000-15,500 per quintal.
Market analysts said reduced offtake by stockists and exporters at existing higher levels, pulled down the pepper and jeera prices.
