Press Trust of India New Delhi
Potato prices traded higher by 0.68% to Rs 1,278.90 per quintal in futures market today mostly on the back of rising demand driven by ongoing "Navratras" festival.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, potato for delivery in April moved up by Rs 8.70, or 0.68% to Rs 1,278.90 per quintal in business turnover of 41 lots.

Likewise, the potato for delivery in May traded higher by Rs 7.40, or 0.49% to Rs 1347.50 per quintal in 183 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in potato futures to rising ongoing "Navratras" festival demand amid restricted arrivals from producing regions.
