Provisional: Market closes flat amid volatilty

It was a volatile trading session; key benchmark indices pared early gains in late trades as investors turned cautious and booked profits at higher levels in heavyweights.
After a positive start benchmark indices remained choppy on Friday and closed flat led by selling in banks, auto and metal shares.

Broader markets too came under selling pressure as BSE mid-caps and small-caps closed 0.1% lower.
