Provisional: Markets end flat after hitting all-time highs

Bank and auto shares were among the top Sensex gainers

Markets ended flat on Friday as profit booking was seen at higher levels in late trades after the Sensex touched new all-time highs in intra-day trades.

The Sensex ended up 14 points at 21,178 after hitting a fresh all-time high of 21,293.88 and the Nifty ended up 8 points at 6,307.
