Provisional: Markets end flat amid rangebound trade

Markets ended flat with a negative bias on Tuesday as investors remained cautious ahead of the Fed's policy decision later today and RBI's monetary policy review tomorrow. Gains in pharma and IT shares helped offset most of the losses in HDFC Group and index heavyweight RIL

The 30-share Sensex ended down 50 points at 20,609  and the 50-share Nifty ended down 15 points at  6,139.              .
