Markets ended sharply lower on Monday, amid a sell off in emerging markets, with rate sensitive shares leading the decline ahead of the third quarter monetary policy review tomorrow on worries that high interest rate regime is likely to continue.
The 30-share Sensex ended down 390 points at 20,744 and the 50-share Nifty ended down 121 points at 6,145.
