PTC India rises after UP Power Corp. pays Rs 778 crore of dues
The stock gained 4% at Rs 52.60 on the National Stock Exchange.

PTC India is trading higher by 4% at Rs 52.60 after the state-owned electric utilities firm said that it has received outstanding dues of Rs 778 crore from UP Power Corporation.
The company on October 08, 2013, has received an amount of Rs 778 crore from UP Power Corporation Ltd. (UPPCL) towards past outstanding dues against sale of power to UPPCL, PTC India said in a statement.
The stock opened at Rs 52.10 and touched high of Rs 54.10 on NSE. A combined 1.23 million shares change hands on the counter till 0950 hours on NSE and BSE.
