Pulses remain steady in thin trade

Quiet conditions prevailed in the wholesale pulses market today as most of commodities closed around previous levels after moving in a tight range.  

Arrivals and offtake remained at a low ebb and business turnover also dropped considerably. 

Market analysts said absence of buying activity at prevailing high levels against increased supplies mainly kept prices unchanged.

Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal:

Urad 4,000-4,400, Urad chilka (local) 4,900-5,300, best 5,400-5,900, Dhoya 5,350-5,450, Moong 4,075-5,075, Dal moong chilka local 5,100-5,500, Moong Dhoya local 5,400-5,600 and best quality 6,000-6,200

Masoor small 3,000-3,200, bold 3,150-3,400, Dal Masoor local 3,550-3,650, best quality 3,850-4,150, Malka local 3,500-3,550, best 3,650-3,750, Moth 1,850-2,150, Arhar 3,400-3,900, dal arhar dara 5,000-5,400

 

Gram 2,350-2,375, gram dal (local) 2,700-2,715, best quality 2,800-2,900, besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,150, Rajdhani 1,150, Rajmah chitra Pune 3,450-3,850, China 3,550-4,050, red 3,800-3,900
