Shares of Punj Lloyd were up 7% at Rs 27 on the Bombay Stock Exchange after the company announced it has received orders worth Rs 488 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India and BHEL.

The order from Power Grid Corporation is for two Transmission and Distribution for rural electrification of districts in Odisha - Jaipur and Khorda and Ganjam under the Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Vidyutikaran Yojna -12th plan, the company said in a release.

The release also added that it has received the first power project from BHEL for the civil, structural and architectural work of the non plant works and Raw Water Reservoir, Roads and Drains at the 800MW Kothagudem Thermal Power Project in Khammam District, Telangana.
 

The stock opened at Rs 25.70 and touched a high of Rs 27.25. At 12:15PM, over 4.6 million shares were traded on both the stock exchanges.
