Saria falls on weak demand

Saria turned weak and traded Rs 300 per tonne lower in the wholesale steel market today due to reduced offtake by stockists as well as fall in demand.

Traders said reduced offtake by stockists followed by slow demand in view of monsoon season pulled down the wholesale saria prices.

In the saria section, Kandhenu 8-mm, 10-mm and 12-mm were down by Rs 300 each to Rs 40,000, Rs 39,700 and Rs 38,300 per tone, respectively.

Similarly, saria 15-25-mm traded lower by the same margin at Rs 38,250 per tone.
