Sebi drops cases against two companies

Cos charged with not obtaining the authentication of the market regulator's online complaint redressal system

Press Trust Of India
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has disposed of cases against two companies, Solitaire Machine Tools and Chisel & Hammer (Model), charged with not obtaining the authenti-cation of the market regulator's online complaint redressal system.

In August last year, Sebi had asked all listed firms to register themselves with its online system SCORES, to sort out investor complaints, by September 14, failing which enforcement action would be initiated against them.

Thereafter, Sebi issued a newspaper ad on October 6, 2012 in respect of the companies, including the two firms, advising them to get authentication done within seven days. Sebi says the two firms failed to obtain the authentication within the stipulated timeline as advised.
