The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has set up a four-member technical advisory committee to review the market structure, following changes to the technological landscape.
The committee would be chaired by Ashok Jhunjhunwala, faculty-member, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)-Madras. The other members are H Krishnamurthy of the Indian Institute of Science (Bangalore), Abhay Karandikar of IIT-Bombay and Vibhakar Bhushan of Trignon Business Consulting and Synchosoft.com.
The panel would advise Sebi on policies in various areas, including co-location, algorithmic trading and smart order routing.
It would also set standards for disaster recovery, business continuity and system audits.
