Copra Alapuzha and copra Kozhikode prices slumped further in an otherwise steady spices market here today on heavy offloading from stockists on the back of new crop arrivals as well as lower retail demand.
Copra office Alapuzha plunged by Rs 400 per quintal to Rs 6,100 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 6,500 and copra office Kozhikode tanked by Rs 350 per quintal to Rs 5,900 as compared to Rs 6,250 previously.
Meanwhile, rest all other spices remained steady due to lack of any worthwhile buying activity.
