Sensex down 139pts in morning trades

The Sensex opened 79 points lower at 16,185. The index touched a high of 16,213, and then has slipped deeper into red. The index is now down 139 points at 16,125.

Hindalco and DLF have dropped over 2% each to Rs 121 and Rs 390, respectively.

Reliance Communications, Sterlite and Jaiprakash Associates have shed around 1.5% each at Rs 293, Rs 735 and Rs 225, respectively.

ONGC, TCS, HDFC and Reliance Infrastructure are down over 1% each.

Wipro, however, has advanced over 1% to Rs 559.
