Sensex down 140pts; ONGC sheds 4%

The Sensex is now down 138 points at 9,431.

Infosys has slumped 4.6% to Rs 1,118. DLF and ONGC have plunged around 4% each to Rs 282 and Rs 643, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra has dropped 3% to Rs 270. ICICI Bank and Hindalco have shed 2.7% each at Rs 429 and Rs 49, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro, Jaiprakash Associates, BHEL, Reliance Infrastructure, Sterlite and Wipro have dropped around 2.5% each.

Maruti has surged 2.4% to Rs 514. Satyam has advanced 2% to Rs 138.
