Sensex down 232pts; SBI rallies 3%

The Sensex has recovered partially from the day's low of 13,052, and is now down 232 points at 13,299.

ICICI Bank and Satyam have tumbled around 6.5% each to Rs 585 and Rs 345, respectively.

Jaiprakash Associates and Ranbaxy have slumped around 5.5% each to Rs 139 and Rs 397, respectively.

Wipro has shed 3.7% at Rs 388. DLF and Tata Steel have dropped 3% each to Rs 419 and Rs 485, respectively.

Bharti Airtel and Mahindra & Mahindra have slipped 2.7% each to Rs 745 and Rs 523, respectively.

Tata Power and TCS have declined 2.3% each to Rs 969 and Rs 744, respectively.

 

ACC and Reliance Communications are down over 2% each at Rs 581 and Rs 361, respectively.

SBI has rallied 3% to Rs 1,533. Tata Motors has advanced over 2% to Rs 399.

Out of 2,513 stocks traded so far, 1,997 have declined, 455 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
